“KineDoc” launches in Bulgaria

“KineDoc” launches in Bulgaria

The third edition of the initiative of eight European countries – Czech Republic, Croatia, Hungary, Poland, Romania, Slovakia, and Norway, launches this year also in Bulgaria. Sixteen documentary films from Central and Eastern Europe will go to the big screen in more than twenty non-traditional locations i.e. not in cinema halls, in each of the nine participating countries. They are screened in various locations, bearing in mind each urban cultural environment. Debates with the audience will follow the screenings, where filmmakers and experts from various creative areas will participate. According to its creators, the objective of the new initiative is “to make documentary films accessible to a wider audience through screenings and discussions at non-traditional locations. The initiative will support the symbiosis between the public (without whom there would be no reason to make documentaries) and the filmmakers (without whom the people experiencing interesting or difficult situations will have no say).”

In Bulgaria “KineDoc” is an initiative by the production and distribution company “Activist 38” .
