European award for “The Postman”
Bulgarian director Tonislav Hristov was awarded the grand prize “Objectif d’Or“at the international festival of documentary film “Millennium” in Brussels. His film “The Postman“ tells the story of Ivan, a postman from a village near the border with Turkey. He has an unusual idea to populate his native village deserted over the years, with families of refugees.
The film was already shown in other prestigious international festivals for documentary films.According to the director, participation in festivals is important because “it creates a country’s image for the art of film.”
